After having lived in a number of different states growing up, Carrie chose Tuscaloosa as the place to live and raise her family in 1988. She understands, first-hand the joys and challenges of moving locally and relocating from far away.
She has enjoyed a diverse professional life: television reporter, restaurant owner, executive director of Kentuck, and marketing and events planner for the True Vine Foundation. She's also volunteered for several community events such as Art for Heart, Challenge 21, NASP (neighborhoods for the advancement of school programs), Reading Allies, and is on the board for Tuscaloosa Downtown Merchants Association, DCH Foundation, and Tuscaloosa Association of REALTORS®. Carrie firmly believes that the community is the heart of her business and it’s important to pour her generosity and time into the people who support her.

I'll say Julie has a thunderous amount of knowledge around Tuscaloosa, north Alabama, houses, neighborhood histories, locks, floor plans, air conditioning units, lawn care, anything and everything you need to buy/sell homes in Alabama. She also has your interests in mind and wants you to reach your goals. She goes above and beyond what I would imagine a normal realtor would have done. I know she checks in constantly, will check every crevice of a home, and has clear communication skills. If you have Julie Brand involved in the project of finding a new home, or selling an old one, you can have extreme confidence. I always felt better when Julie was on site, or when Julie decompressed about a home after a visit. Dave is professional and kind. He is always available and will work hard to get the best deal. He is patient and works well under pressure. For example: He negotiated the price on the home I was buying and got the price lowered by 2000.00 dollars! Also he bought me brand new locks for my doors! My lender wanted a follow up inspection that I didn't know I was supposed to have but Dave took care of it immediately. I knew I could count on him. I didn't have to worry. No matter where he is he will text you or call you back soon. I was scared about the first inspection and told Dave I was scared he said everything would be alright and it was! He will explain exactly what is in your contract what it covered and what it doesn't cover. He lives in Tuscaloosa but he will drive a long way just to help you! I live 1 hour or more from him but he was there getting the job done! He is dependable. He is highly recommended!

You need a Real Estate agent you know has your best interests at heart. Carrie listened to us and made sure we saw property that met our primary need for location. We were not local and Ms Fitts worked with us long distance setting the closure process in motion very professionally. Mrs. Fitts was so helpful to my family and I in the process of searching for a home. As a first time home buyer my experience with Mrs. Fitts was great. I had two realtors before her and I honestly wish I would have found her first. She answers your questions precisely and if there's something else that needs to be known she will find it out for you. You can immediately tell she has been in the business for a while. She has a lot of experience and she treats you like family and not just a client. I would gladly recommend anyone to Mrs. Fitts. We owned an old home in the University Area and did not wish to update or remodel it. Carrie knew how to put it on the market "as is" and bring in the right type of buyer. She knew what we were required to do and advised us well. Among other complications, I am an out of state owner and she handled everything we needed and did it well, including finding us someone to tend to the yard.
